To use EBT at Costco, here are a few easy steps to remember:
- When it’s time to pay, swipe your EBT card in the point of sale machine
- You will then have to enter your PIN
- If you do not have enough money in your EBT account to cover SNAP-eligible items, the machine will then ask if you want to use
a credit/debit card or cash to pay for the rest of the items. - Also, if you have non-SNAP eligible items in your cart, you will be able to use a credit/debit card or cash to pay for them.
- In some cases, you will be asked to show a photo ID to confirm you are the cardholder.
